Who are Rohingya Muslims?

Though Rohingya refugees are called Rohingya Muslims, they are not all Muslims. Some of them are Hindu also. As the majority are Muslims they are often called Rohingya Muslims.

Rohingya are one of the most persecuted minorities in the world. It is believed that during British rule Muslim peoples were migrated from all over the world to Burma [presently Myanmar]. At that time, the west bank of Burma was an industrial area. British brought them to use the poor peoples with very low wages. Even Rohingya peoples had also worked under British Army. When British left Myanmar, country began to rule under Myanmar Army. Those Rohingya peoples brought by British have been living there as local peoples of Rakhine.

Present scenario of Rohingya Crisis:

During that period Myanmar government didn’t raised the issue as the government was also suffering from other internal disturbances. On 1982, Myanmar Citizenship Act was passed & government denied to provide citizenship to the Muslims in Rakhine region. Here the collision began. Though Muslims living in other areas were granted citizenship, government was on fully denying mood to provide citizenship to Rohingya Muslims. Myanmar government stared removing Rohingya Muslims from the region. Thousands of Rohingya peoples started reaching different countries like India, Bangladesh, Philippines, Indonesia, and Malaysia etc.  All these has been going on from 1982. But in recent years the scenario have changed completely.

It is always seen that Islamic Extremism take place where Islamic victims are present. In Myanmar the case is not different. Many links has been found between Rohingya Muslims and ISIS [with other Terrorists organisations also]. Even in some parts of Myanmar extremist groups of Rohingya Muslims announced war against Myanmar government.

Extremism of Rohingya:

Recently 71 civilians including 12 security forces were killed as Rohingya militants besieged border posts in northern Rakhine. Myanmar’s authorities said – the worst violence in months to hit the febrile zone. As a reply, Myanmar government launched ‘Ethnic Cleansing’ of Rohingya Muslims in Rohingya which results large number of refugee fleeing to other nations. But no countries want to give them the dignity of citizenship. India is also planning to deport all Rohingya refugees from Indian soil who has been living here from long ago.

Now the question is,

Why should India deport Rohingya Muslims ?

There are several reasons that India should take care for Indians and take any steps cautiously—–

This is not new that when poor Islamic populations became victims, terrorist groups misuse their conditions and use them in terrorizing. Though these peoples are not responsible for that. Rather their poverty, lack of education and political awareness are mainly responsible. Rohingya Muslims were also found in some extremist groups who are fighting against India in J&K. It seems India is buying Humanity paying the price of own Security. Hence security concern tells us why should India deport Rohingya Muslims.

Relationship with Myanmar:

Rohingya Muslim are attacking Myanmar civilians, authorities and security forces rapidly. Any time Myanmar may say that India is harboring Rohingya Muslims who perform terrorist activities in Myanmar. As like as Pakistan doing with India by harboring LeT, JeM who attacked India deep inside. As a result keeping Rohingya in India is breaking the relationship with Myanmar. This will results India failing in diplomatic war against China & Pakistan. So India must think about that.

Increasing Unemployment in India:

According to International Labour Organisation (ILO) the number of jobless will increase from 17.7 million to 18 million even though the unemployment rate is expected to go down from 3.5 per cent to 3.4 per cent in 2017. India is still unable to create sufficient job for its own citizens. Already unemployed peoples blaming the government for the lack of jobs. This may lead to a complete chaos in India. So, it’s an obvious reason why should India deport Rohingya Muslims.

Effect on Economy & Food:

According to a World Bank report, India has the most number of peoples who live below the international poverty line of $1.90 a day. 224 million, more than 2.5 times as many as the 86 million in Nigeria, which has the second-largest population of the poor worldwide. Indians are poor already. Inclusion of more poor refugees is more than committing suicide.

Apart from that, you also know how pathetic condition of medical facilities in India. Indian government can’t save its own people, how can government others ? Look at the availability of food. Almost as many (24.1 % Indian) had lived in conditions of semi-starvation during the previous months. Over 7000 Indians die of hunger every day & Over 25 lakhs Indians die of hunger every year. Who will feed the refugees ? We have not included other problems like education, accommodation etc.

Hope, you have understood Why should India deport Rohingya Muslims

Wait, you are not done yet. Let’s talk about Humanity.

Rohingya Muslims launched an attack in and around Mahabodhi Temple in Bodh Gaya, an international Buddhist tourists spot. Here World is busy to help them & they are busy to take revenge. Though others are not responsible for the extremist groups. But as mentioned the poor joins terrorism to earn money.

Rohingya Muslims are fleeing in different due to extreme torture by the Myanmar Army. They are reaching other nations like Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Philippines etc. But no country is willing to give them permanent citizenship for own prospect of reasons. Obviously terrorism is the main concern.

Finally we hope, you have got some reasons why should India deport Rohingya Muslims. Now the decision fully depends on Supreme Court and the Government of India.
